A lovely condition matching numbers WWII German Nazi K98. Manufactured by Mauser (S/42) in 1937 with the correct early Nazi drop winged Weimar eagles and Mauser eagle over 63 stamps. All visible numbers are matched apart from the bolt assembly. The stock is marked with what looks to be a soldiers number or unit marking. The finish has a lovely patina and the original wood work is all Walnut. It comes fitted the correct 10 inch cleaning rod. This is one of only a handful of K98s that is pretty much untouched with no capture or other ownership stamps. A rare survivor when you consider this carbine is 80 years old! Deactivated with a working action it cane be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
