Product Information

This is a WWII Walther manufactured German P38 pistol. Dated 1944, it has matching numbers to slide, frame and barrel with the correct Walther acceptance stamps Eagle over 359. The grips are original wartime Walther manufactured and magazine is correctly marked "P38v'. The serial number dates to May 1944 and is from a batch of 10,000 made that month. This pistol was made just 11 months before the Walther factory was captured in April 1945. 1944 saw Allied forces advance and on all fronts as German arms production declined. All available weapons were quickly put into service. The P38 was the pistol replaced the aging PO8 Luger during WWII and was issued widely throughout the German army.
