A Second World War Spreewerk manufactured P38 pistol (makers code cyq), The serial number 9655g is from a batch of 10,000 produced in August/September of 1943. Matching numbers to frame, slide and barrel, with correct Nazi Waffen code Eagle over 88. CYQ (Spreewerk) P38s were not date stamped, but instead are dated from the letter suffix. . They only produced around 283,000 P38s from 1942 to 1945, the fewest of the three manufacturers of this model during the second world war. Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
