A Second World War, Mauser (byf) manufactured Luger PO8, dated 1941 (41). This example is correctly marked with "P08" on the left side of the frame and Waffenamt codes on the right hand side. The 655 proof with straight wings indicate early 1941 production. All visible numbers match including the grips. Luger's from this batch and year were also issued with black plastic grips and black based magazines and became known as the "Black Widow". Another unusual feature on this Luger is the right hand grip. The owner was most definitely left handed and has worn the grip smooth near the back edge. Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
