This is a 1936 dated Nazi PO8 Luger fitted with a long barrel. It is correctly marked with the makers code S/42 (Mauser) and carries early Nazi drop winged Eagle acceptance stamps (Eagle over 63), with all visible numbers matched. Mauser produced around 90,000 Lugers in 1936 as part of the Nazi's secret prewar rearmament program. Unlike most examples from this period this one has a longer than standard barrel measuring 15cm (6 inches).
