Product Information

An early production, matching numbers WWII Spree Werk (cyq) manufactured P38 . Spree Werk didn't date stamp their pistols and instead can be dated from the letter suffix in the serial number. This is an early example with a "b" suffix that dates to May 1943, their first year of full P38 pistol production. That year they made and estimated 107,850 pistols, having only made 7,050 in 1942. In comparison to Walther and Mauser, Spree Werk made by far the fewest P38s, around 283,000 from 1942 to 1945. CYQ were assigned Nazi acceptance stamp Eagle over 88. The companies emphasis was to produce as many serviceable pistols as possible, overall finish wasn't that important. This example is fitted with an original grips and a Nazi marked magazine. Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked and dry fired.
