Product Information

This is a late WWII Nazi "Kreigsmodell" K98 that was manufactured by Gustloff Werke in 1944 under secret Nazi code "bcd 4". Kreigsmodell means war model and was first introduced in latter stages of the war. They feature far less numbered parts and simplified components in an attempt to reduce production times. This example was produced without the nose cap spring and instead has a two screw to secure the forward sling band and nose cap. Also the cleaning rod requirement was omitted from the design and a simple cover plate with securing screw was fitted to protect the end on the wood work. Another interesting feature is bolt, this is from a WWI Gew98. Towards the end of the war weapons manufactures were authorised to use any serviceable parts to complete firearms. Late war K98s like this one were issued to all branches of the Nazi regime including the Volkstrum - peoples militia. This one was eventually captured by Russian forces and the reworked and stamped as Soviet military property.

Deactivated to current specifications.
