Just Arrived, Deactivated WWII German K98

This is superb condition 1944 dated Mauser "byf" coded K98 - Kreigsmodell. A very impressive looking example with the correct Waffen code WaA135 on receiver and barrel. Produced towards the end of the war these K98's were issued to all branches of the Nazi regime including the Volkstrum - peoples militia, as Allied forces closed in. The "Kreigsmodell" features far less numbered parts and simplified components to reduce production times. This one was eventually captured by Russian forces and the reworked and stamped as Soviet military property with matching numbers to bolt, receiver and floor plate. It comes fitted with a sight hood, cleaning rod and quality leather reproduction leather sling.
