Just Arrived, Deactivated WWII Nazi MG42

A superb WWII German MG42 with matching numbers and rear anti aircraft sight arm. This excellent example hasn't been refinished or Russian captured. It is correctly marked with the makers code "dfb" - Gustloff-Werke, Suhl and  waffen code WaA4 . The initials "MU" were only used for one year 1944. That year Gustloff only made an estimated 65,000 MG42's. The "arz" code is that of the receiver manufacturer and is often found on Gustloff 42s. The serial number is also correct and is a very early one from that years production figures. The earliest recorded serial number from 1944 is 4091c. This one is 6148c that puts it around number 2057th of that year.  An excellent, heavily Nazi WaA stamped example of the feared MG42. It had a fantastic rate of fire at 1200 rounds a minute. Known by US troops as Hitler's buzz saw. They are still in use in modified form today. A real German WWII classic.
