Product Information

Rare early production Roth Steyr M1907 Pistol. This is a fantastic example of a Roth Steyr M1907 pistol. This fine, very early example bears the military acceptance stamp, Wn 9 meaning Vienna 1909.  These pistols were made for the Austro- Hungarian cavalry and proved very popular. The weapon has a very long trigger pull which made it ideal for use by mounted troops, as it made it less prone to accidental discharge should a horse become lively whilst the trooper had his finger on the trigger. Original finish nice clear stamps, the wooden grips are unit marked. This example has a very low four digit serial number and is around number 3070th of 1909 production. No commercial models were ever produced. This was the first self-loading pistol to replace a revolver by a major power. Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
