Product Information

This is a 1938 dated Russian Mosin Nagant M/91 rifle that was captured by German forces whilst they occupied Latvia during the Second World War. It is marked with the initials F.L.P.Mi. , meaning Feuer Losch Polizei "Fire Fighting Police" or  "Fire Extinguishing Police " Mi is an abbreviation for the city or town that it was issued to. Fire fighters needed to armed whist battling fires amidst the fierce fighting between German, Latvian and Russian forces during Nazi occupation. A very interesting and rare rifle. Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
