This is one of more scarce and unusual First World War, German hand stick grenades. During the Great War the German army experimented with different designs and possible improvements of hand grenades, sometimes utilsing existing models and stocks. This variant utilises the M1915 stick and M1913 Kugel hand grenade. The stick and grenade have both been adapted to screwed together. It would appear to have not been that much of an improvement and the design was later withdrawn.
