Deactivated Astra Model 3000

This is a Spanish Astra model 3000 chambered in 7.65mm. The Model 3000 was first introduced in the mid 1940's replacing the wartime model 300. It was popular pistol with military and police forces. This example dates to 1952 as the year of manufacture. It also bears the Geco company symbol (Gustav Genschow & Co, Germany) on the trigger guard. Geco are a German retailer and supplier of quality firearms who sold this pistol. The original right hand side grip has been replaced.
