An early pre Falklands War British LAW (Light Anti-Tank Weapon) 66mm  L1A2B1 rocket launcher, dated 6/74 (June 1974). This example differs from most others by virtue of being re used as a training aid. It has been retrofit to fire a 21mm rocket with the addition of nn aluminum sleeve with a ventilated steel tube. The L1A2B1 was used by the British army and Special Forces in many conflicts, including the troubles in Northern Ireland and the Falklands War. It is a one shot disposable rocket launcher. Its primary use was against armoured vehicles but it also proved effective against fixed positions, bunkers and other buildings. It was replaced in the 1980's by the LAW80.
