This is a Birmingham Small Arms, Sportsman Five .22 calibre bolt action rifle. These excellent little guns are often a shooters first real firearm, being used for small game and target shooting. This example has had the barrel screw cut for a sound moderator and would have been fitted with a scope and mounts. The Five series was first introduced in the late 1940s and proved a very successful model for BSA. Deactivated with moving parts it comes with an EU/UK certificate of deactivation.
