This is a rare NATO issued Cold War, Walther PPK with dummy silencer. The stock number on the slide identifies this as a pistol that was issued during the Cold War to West German forces. 1/58 is the month and year of issue = January 1958, 12 was the NATO code for West Germany. 1005 the NATO supply classification code (NSC), and the last 7 are random but unique to the weapon. These weapons were supplied to various members of the West German Government agencies who were policing the borders between East and West Germany. This example also have an original NATO issued magazine and is fitted with its original brown grips and a dummy silencer.
