Product Information

This is a superb example of a Cold War production Walther made P38. In the early 1950s Russia posed a major threat to peace in Europe. It was decided that the West German military would need to rearm its forces in order to defend itself against this threat. The German Bundeswehr (Federal Defense) ordered the P38 to be its sidearm of choice. Although not manufactured since 1945, Walther, using wartime pistols retooled and the first pistols were delivered in June 1957. This pistol dates to May 1969 (5/69). Included is an original Cold War black leather holster dated1962.  Deactivated with a working action.
