Hotchkiss "Universal" submachine gun. This gun folds up into a very compact unit, this made it perfect for airborne troops and confined spaces such as armoured vehicles or helicopters. A very clever and unique design concept. It unfortunately wasn't a great success and was only in production from 1949 to 1952 with only very small units produced. This example has its original factory finish and comes fitted with black leather sling. Deactivated with moving trigger and cocking handle that returns under spring tension.
