The Beretta 38/A44 was a simplified wartime version of earlier M38A. The demands of war production meant that Beretta could not continue producing the M1938/42. A redesign and simplification of this model produced this, the 38/A44. Chambered in the readily available 9mm Parabellum it could be used by Axis and Allied forces if captured. And unlike most other submachine guns of this period has two triggers, one for full auto and the other for selective fire. Post WWII they continued in service with the Italian armed forces and police. Comes fitted with a 40 round stick magazine. Deactivated to old specifications in 1995 with a working action it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
