Smith & Wesson Model 10-5 .38 special, snub nose revolver. The model 10 series has been one of the most successful revolvers the world over. Used by the police, military, law enforcement agencies and civilian markets. This example has had a special in house modification and only works off double action. It has been manufactured so the single action operation will not hold back the hammer. There is no sear on the single action part of the mechanism. This was often done at the request of police or covert operatives. The revolver is still in super original condition, with a lovely deep crisp blued finish and original, and correct solid wood grips. Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
