This is an original Hungarian manufactured M44 Mosin Nagant carbine with all matching numbers and its correct wood work. Dated 1952 it was produced after WWII during the Cold War. These carbines saw use during the Hungarian Revolution of 1956. Up until then Hungary was governed by the Peoples Republic using Soviet imposed policies. They are made to a higher standard then the Russian examples and is very small numbers. All parts are marked with the Hungarian code "02".

Deactivated to current specifications with moving bolt and removable magazine. This rifle can still be fully dismantled with the exception of the bolt.
