This is a Sterling MK4 L2A3 SMG. The Sterling was first conceived during the latter stages of WWII with some early trials examples being used at Arnhem. After the war the Sterling was officially adopted by the British Army in 1953 and continued in service into the 1990s, seeing action in the Northern Ireland the Falklands war and many other conflicts. The MK4 being the last regular version used in service with the British Army. Deactivated to current specifications with tensioned/moving cocking lever and trigger. It comes fitted with an original MOD sling and removable 32 round magazine.
