Product Information

A very impressive WWII German K98 that has been converted into a sniper rifle. Dated 1940, it was manufactured by Mauser-Werke AG, Werk Borsigwalde, Berlin-Borsigwalde under secret code "243", and is correctly marked with Waffen acceptance Eagle over 26. During WWII it was captured and fell into Russian ownership but also appears to have been used by another nation as well. The unusual serial number positioning between the date and makers code is not a characteristic Russian placement. This would indicate that it was issued again somewhere else. It still has its wartime barrel which has the original Nazi codes and Waffenamt stamps on the under side of the barrel, and the rifling is in very good condition throughout. The bolt is fitted with a sniper safety lever that is designed to turn down and avoid fouling the scope. The Pecar 4 x 81 scope is of a similar vintage to the rifle and is in great condition too with good clear optics. Included are a leather sling, sniper rear sight cover and cleaning rod.

Available live or deactivated. Chambered in its original 7.92mm.
