Deactivated British .303 Lee Enfield MK 5 Jungle Carbine. An excellent British made example of the rarest Lee Enfield Carbine. Lovely smooth bolt action and a super example.
Used in the Pacific theatre basically a lighter and shorter version of the No4 rifle with a conical flash hider shortened stock and weighing in at a full two pounds less than the standard No 4, it was ideally suited to jungle warfare. The downside of being lighter was it had a kick like a mule despite being fitted with a thick rubber recoil pad. It is however in my opinion the best looking Lee Enfield ever made and I still shoot one on a regular basis.
