Product Information

A stunning condition Birmingham Small Arms (BSA) SMLE No1 MKIII* rifle. Dated 1936 and chambered in .303. These early pre WWII rifles were often amongst the first to see action during the Second War World. This lovely example has a great bore and smooth action. The wood work is superb and sets this rifle apart from others. Unit markings (most likely Iraqi) below the bolt safety and an armours repair to the stock. A good indication that this rifle saw active service. It also bears Iraqi military markings on the tops of the receiver and barrel. Small quantities are known to have been supplied to them in 1936 and 1937 by the British. During WWII Iraqi forces fort against the Allies.  A VERY interesting, well traveled and rarely seen rifle!! To purchase an FAC with the correct variation is required. Can be deactivated to order with a full working action.
