Antique Afghan Jezail Flintlock musket. The Jezail uses the unusual Sind shaped stock, which made the gun easier to fire from horseback. They were hand made and regarded as a very personal weapons, and designs and finish varied, often tailored to and individuals requirements. This type was used by Afghan warriors against the British in the Anglo-Afghan wars. The flintlock mechanism is marked with rampant British lion and crowned inspection mark, most likely for the East India Company and with arabic calligraphy.  The action locks back on both full and half and dry fires. Comes fitted with flint, ram rod and with both original sling hoops and brass and steel barrel bands in tact. This is an antique firearm and can be owned live without any form of license. Overall length is 134cms.
