A very rare British military marked Beaumont Adams percussion revolver chambered in .442 (54 bore). Circa 1850s. This beautiful revolver was manufactured by the London Armoury using the Adam's patents no B5035. 20.330R. The R suffix confirms that this revolver was manufactured at the London Army Company. This model which was first produced is the early 1850s have self-cocking, also known as double-action. The Adams revolver was favoured by British officers in the Crimean War and Anglo-Zulu Wars and many colonial conflicts due to its formidable stopping power. They were exported to the US during the Civil war and were used by both Confederate and Union armies. Only 25,000 of the Beaumont Adams were manufactured in three calibres; .479 (38 bore), .442 (54 bore), and .338(120 bore).

This example has matching numbers to frame and cylinders and is Broad arrow stamped. It has a shot capacity. The bores and barrel are in good condition.

The action is in good working order and fires off both single and double actions. This rare and historic revolver is of an obsolete calibre and can therefore be owned live without any form of license. It can be fully stripped, cock and dry.
