A lovely condition Belgium made Velo-Dog obsolete calibre revolver, chambered in 5.5mm. Completely original with its factory finish and Bakelite grips. The Velo-Dog was a revolver originally created in France in the late 1800s. The name "Velo-Dog" comes from the portmanteau of the words "Velocipede" and "Dog"  and as the name suggests it was used to defend cyclists on their velocipedes, who were likely to be set upon by wild ferocious dogs. It corporates a button safety at the top of the grips and folding trigger to avoid accidental discharge. Still in super original condition with a perfect working action it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired. Bores are in very good condition. This beautiful obsolete calibre revolver can be owned with any form license.
