An Velo-Dog obsolete calibre revolver, chambered in 5.5mm. The Velo-Dog was a revolver originally created in France in the late 1800s. The name "Velo-Dog" comes from the portmanteau of the words "Velocipede" and "Dog"  and as the name suggests it was used to defend cyclists on their velocipedes, who were likely to be set upon by wild ferocious dogs. It corporates a lever safety on the left side of the frame and folding trigger to avoid accidental discharge. It still has a good working action it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired. Bores are in very good condition. This genuine obsolete calibre revolver can be owned without any form license.
