Rare Israeli K98 M1930

This is a rare Israeli K98 M1930 with its original matched wood work. After Israel declared independence, the Israeli Defense Forces supplemented its stocks of rifles by purchasing the Model 1930 rifle from Fabrique Nationale (FN) in Belgium. The model 1930 differs little from the standard K98, the left receiver reads “FAB. NAT.D’ARMES de GUERRE HERSTAL-BELGIQUE” and the Israeli Defense Forces crest on top of the receiver. Interestingly this example is fitted with an original WWII Nazi K98 bolt. After the end of WWII Israel received consignments of captured Nazi firearms.
