Product Information

This is rare Romanian manufactured M44 Mosin Nagant Carbine. Very few were ever made and for only one or maybe two years at the very most. Production began in the mid 1950s but only lasted for a very short period. If encountered the 1955 dated examples are most commonly found. This example is from the first years production, 1954. They are often mistaken for the Soviet version as the proof markings are very similar to the Soviet proofs of Izhevsk factory. This example is in superb condition throughout. The bore is mint. Chambered in 7.62mm it chambers the same ammunition as the Russian made examples. This rare carbine can be owned live on an FAC with the correct variation.
