Product Information

This is a very rare and interesting WWII K98. This carbine was original manufactured in Poland by FB Radam in 1939 as a Wz29 - the Polish designation for this carbine. Poland was invaded by Nazi Germany in September 1939 and once under their control Germany took ownership of all Polish arms factories. All firearms and associated parts were seized and shipped to the Austrian firm Steyr for final assembly and inspection. Steyr marked these carbines with Nazi code "660" and Waffen acceptance stamps WaA623 & 77. The Polish Wz was struck out and  "/40" added, and then re-designated by the Nazi's as the G29/40. Very few were ever made, around 50,000 in total. From this total all three branches of the German military received small quantities. Most that have been encounter are marked to either the "M" Navy or  "L" Airforce on the stock below the first Nazi eagle stamp. It is believed that very few were assigned to the army as they considered it as a none standard weapon, even though it is basically a K98 that was made under license by Poland before the war. However, this is one of the few that were allocated to the army and has the letter "H" - Heer or Army acceptance mark. During the war it was stationed in Norway and eventually fell into their ownership and was marked accordingly. It still retains many original parts and is in superb condition throughout. Due to so few being produced these F.B.Radom marked examples are very rarely seen.

It comes fitted with a cleaning rod, sight hood cover and leather sling.

Now chambered in 3006 it can be owned live on an FAC with the correct variation.

It can be deactivated to order.
