Winchester Model 1892 under lever rifle

This is a superb example of a Winchester Model 1892 under lever rifle, chambered in .38 WCF. The serial number dates to 1911 production and is one of 56,480 or so made that year. This example differs from most others and has a Lyman's Pattern No21 rear sight fitted for increased accuracy. The bore is still in extremely good condition with strong rifling throughout and is one of the best we have seen on a rifle of this age. The action is as to be expected from a Winchester, tight and crisp! This classic 1892 would make and excellent shooter. It has a 24 inch round blued barrel with the original woodwork and has its original deep blued factory finish with a light patina in places.
