Product Information

This SMLE was manufactured during the First World War, although the date stamp is not completely visible it is a MKIII* without cut-off plate which would date it to between 1916 and 1918. Below these marking, just visible is the initials FTR - Factory Through Repair. Meaning this rifle returned to the factory for rework. A 1944 dated barrel has been fitted this would indicate this SMLE saw service again during WWII. Post WWII it was converted to a smooth bore .410 bolt action shotgun and currently has an unrestricted magazine and can be owned on an FAC with the correct variation. However, we can have it restricted to single shot which would mean it could then be held as on a section 2 shotgun license. If required please ask for more details.
