An excellent condition WWI / WWII era BSA manufactured SMLE No1 rifle, chambered in .303. This rifle was originally destine for commercial use but was instead diverted to the British military. It bears many broad arrow stamped parts and has had a 1937 dated military marked barrel fitted. The early bolt with round cocking piece matches the receivers serial number and still has remnants of the black British military Suncorite paint. The wood work is in superb condition. This rifle may well have been used by the Home Guard. It comes fitted with an original canvas sling and Parker's SMLE No134 sight hood cover. Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
