Product Information

A lovely condition Second World War issued German Airforce K98. The capital L just below the first Nazi eagle was used to signify that this carbine was issued to Luftwaffe, most likely the Fallschirmjager (German Paratroopers). The L is much clearer from other angles. The German airforce were a key part of the German "Blitzkrieg" used throughout its invasion of European countries and which proved very affective. This is example is in good condition retaining its original matched wood work, floor plate assembly, barrel bands etc. 1941 saw the introduction of the "byf" coding and date stamp using just two digits (41). During WWII this K98 was used during the Nazi occupation of Norway. Norway was of huge strategic importance to Germany for both its navy and airforce. After Germany had surrendered the Nords used these captured weapons to arm its own forces. This one is marked with a rare Norwegian stamps : K.ART..... Kistartilleriet (Coastal Artillery) of which very few exist. Chambered in .30.06. and with a mint bore! An FAC with the correct variation is required to purchase this rifle. Can be deactivated to order.

This K98 is brand new to the UK live market having just been imported by us and have just passed UK proof. We have original slings, cleaning rods and sight hood covers available.
