Product Information

WWII British Lee Enfield No5 MK1 Jungle Carbine with matching bolt, chambered in .303.  Just visible are the manufacture, date and serial number stamps. It reads: No5 MK1 ROF (F), 10/44 and 5618, (Royal Ordnance Factory, Fazakerley,  October 1944, no 5618). First produced in March 1944, the No5 saw service during WWII, rumor has it that it was designed primarily for airborne use, rather than the Asian jungles for which it is most commonly associated with. No5s did see extensive use in Holland during the Battle of Arnhem being issued to British paratrooper units where many were captured. This example has just been imported back into the UK from Germany. It has been fitted with a Sutter 3-12x40 scope and rail mount. This can be removed and a standard flip-up rear sight can be fitted. Still in great condition with good strong rifling it can be owned on an FAC with the correct variation.
