A superb condition WWII Lee Enfield No5 MKI Jungle Carbine, chambered in .303. The serial number 2345 is from only the second batch made by ROF Fazakerley in early 1944. It has matching numbers to all visible parts and the magazine, with broad arrow acceptance stamps. At some stage the stock has been replaced and the magazine has been armour renumbered this is a very good indication of service use. No5s saw extensive use in Holland during the Battle of Arnhem in September 1944, being issued to British paratrooper units and the Asian jungles for which it is most commonly associated with. The bore is in superb condition throughout. An FAC with the correct variation is required to purchase this carbine.
