A superb WWII SMLE No1 MKIII .303 bolt action rifle. Manufactured in 1941 by Lithgow this rifle would have been issued to Aussie forces. Lithgow's production of the SMLE was tinny in comparison to Enfield or BSA. Factory figures show that in the 1920s they started serial block B00001, but only finally completed it reaching number B99999 in 1941. This rifle is serial number B54304 from that batch. Once this batch was completed they then started at C00001. They are extremely well made rifles and this example has a near mint condition bore with its matching bolt and wood work. An FAC is required with the correct variation to purchase this rifle.
