Product Information

This is an 1856 Pattern Pioneer Saw Back short sword that was issued to the 3rd Coldstream Guards, weapon number 7,  in December 1897( 11/1897 3 CG 7 ). The sword was manufactured by Wilkinson, London in November 1897 just one month before it was issued into service. It comes with its original brass capped leather scabbard. The Coldstream Guards were deployed and saw extensive action during the Second Boer War and both World Wars.
