1941 Dated German MG34 or MG42 Ammunition Box

WWII German MG34 / MG42 machine gun ammunition box. The initials "PATR.KAST 41f MG" mean, "Patronen Kasten 41 fur Maschinengewerh”. The outside of this box has been repainted at some stage but the original desert paint still remains on the inside. This colour is most commonly associated with Rommel's Afrika Korps. They were used to transport belts of 7.92mm ammunition. Initially used with the MG34 and later with the MG42. The lid still has the original rubber seal. Would look great displayed with either machine gun. All handles, hinges and catches are in good working order.
