Product Information

A Second World War British Artillery No9 MK1 Dial sight with original case. Both are dated 1942 with military broad arrow acceptance stamps. The No9 was first introduced into military service in 1943 being used on many field guns during the war, including the 25 Pdr, 4.5" and 5.5" guns. It has a periscopic configuration with a rotating head, when the scale was set to zero the sight head was aligned with the axis of the barrel. So good was the design that it continued being used in modified form up until the 1990s. This example is in superb original condition and is in great working order.
