Product Information

This is an extremely rare First World War dated Hudson Bay Company (HBC) marked 1907 Pattern SMLE bayonet with scabbard. The bayonet was originally issued in 1917 and also has additional dates of 1932 and 1936. HBC is a very old company that was founded in London in 1670, trading in the fur business for much of its existence. This multimillion pound company still trades today with assets in the region of $8 billion, and currently operates retail stores throughout Canada, Belgium, Germany, and the United States. Being based in Allied and Common Wealth countries during the war would mean that rifles and bayonets would be available to them, and being such a large and valuable company this would give good reason for HBC to protect their assets.
