Product Information

An extremely rare WWII German Kriegsmarine (Navy) 10.5 cm SK C/32 projectile with fuse. This type of projectile was fired from guns that were fitted to German U-Boat (deck guns). On the base of round are the German Navy acceptance stamps, the capital letter M only used of Kriegsmarine issued items. An other very unusual feature is both section are matching numbers. Externally, still visible is the original painted bands. The colours were used to identify the type or contents of the projectile, such HE, tracer or armour piercing etc. The fuse has the correct Nazi codes and date stamp of 1937 with markers marks.

Of considerable interest; Germany put around 1,250 U-boats to sea in World War Two. Of those, nearly 800 were destroyed by Allied ships and aircraft, 220 were intentionally scuttled by their crews at war’s end, 156 were handed over to the British and Americans on VE-Day (116 of those were later sent to the bottom), 50 were declared missing and six were captured in action. Today, only five U-boats remain in world!!!
