This is an original Second World War, German K98 leather sling. The buckle has a leather protector, this was fitted to prevent damage being caused to the woodwork.The leather stopper is maker marked and dated 1938. Comes complete with buckle, stopper and leather adjuster hoop.

They were also used on a variety other German weapons during WWII, such as the MP44 & G43 rifles.
