Product Information

An original WWII German K98 leather sling. The buckle was made by L&F - Linden & Funke KG, and has the leather protector. This was fitted so that it didn't mark the rifles wood work. The leather stopper is a very rare late war coded example and is marked with the "Reichsbetriebsnummer" (RBNr). Just visible is the first digit 0 from the code. The full code was 0/1200/0169.  This coding system was introduced late in 1943 to replace the standard three letter code, but was never fully implemented. The theory behind this coding system was to register and record the factory information within the Nazi regime, and would also maintain security and identifications of manufacturing locations. Only a handful of these stoppers have ever been seen as so few were made. Comes complete with buckle, stopper and leather adjuster hoop.
