This Bren gun transit chest was repaired by the Australian military. It has an Australian Military Forces "Report and Inspection of Equipment" form stating that serial 2993 was repaired and in serviceable condition in August 1953. Aussie Brens and their transit chests are both scarce as so few were made. This one is in great condition with both rope carry handles and lip catches complete and in tact. It will house a MKI or MKII Bren.
