Product Information

An original Cold War holster marked to the Russian Ministry of the Interior. Under the flap is just visible M.d.j an early abbreviation for Ministry of the Interior, with the year stamp of 1962 (62). Below is "Lieterer No" with the remaining marking worn and are not quite legible. This holster would have been issued, along with a sidearm to a member of Ministry, and most likely issued during (Russia's) communist rule in East German. From its design, and internal wear markings we know that this holster was most likely old WWII stock and housed a Sauer 38H pistol (note the chequering imprint under the flap). Ministry officials were known to carry these pistols.
