Early British Officers Mameluke & Scabbard. A very nice early example made by Hamberger & Co. 30 Kings St. Covent Garden, London. They only manufactured as Hamberger & Co from 1812-1826. It is cross hilted, with bone grips and has highly decorative curved scimitar-like blade. This type of Mameluke were issued to British Cavalry Officer and Hussar's. They were also used during the Crimean War. A superb piece of British craftsmanship. Complete with it's original steal scabbard.
