An early production Nazi K98 G coded bayonet. Marked with the makers code S/244 (Mundlos) G=1935. Low three digit serial number on the reverse. Just visible are the Weimar eagles on the pommel. The scabbard is dated 1942 with makers code FNJ (Alexander Coppel, GmbH). These early bayonets were amongst the first to see action during WWII.
